mHealth4U is a registered trademark of the Telemedicine kit developed by School of Telemedicine & Biomedical Informatics.  The School has been established at the SGPGI, Lucknow, India under a research grant by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India. It has been granted the status of National Resource Centre for the Telemedicine & Biomedical Informatics and has been given a mandate to design and develop low cost Telemedicine kits for mass deployment in India and through-out the globe. mHealth4U has been successfully tested and clinically validated by the School of Telemedicine & Biomedical Informatics, SGPGI, Lucknow.

mHealth4U has also been deployed recently in the UP State Medical Colleges Telemedicine project  connecting state medical colleges with SGPGI, Lucknow for E-learning, Medical Content Development , Digital Library and Telemedicine consultations. As part of the project a Client-Server based Application software ‘CureSoft’ was developed to enable new ways of delivering distant healthcare by providing patient access and doctor productivity through integration of mHealth4U, EMR & Video conferencing.

  1. Extend the reach of the health care to the interiors of the country, to the remotest of the land and to the isolated population of the world.
  2. Ensure timely advice and high-quality health services regardless of the location.
  3. Upgrade the quality of health services through effective acquisition of relevant clinical information and Signs.
  4. Improve the quality of life by reducing the cost of the quality health care and the unnecessary travel.
  5. Helps the health care workers, doctors, hospitals in effective disease management.
  6. Helps the government in effective rolling out of the welfare programmes, epidemic control, distant education and training through the use of integrated video conferencing capability.

The solution consists of the three different types of nodes:

  1. Remote Node – For Field health workers / Para-medics / Community centres
  2. Doctor Node – For to Consultants / Hospitals / Clinics / Medical practitioners
  3. Server Node – Any single location to which remote nodes & doctor nodes shall be connected
